Special category: -ous

This is just a few of the words (and there are many, many more -- add them to the list and practice them when you run across them in your reading) that end in ous. Usually these words are adjectives -- often "ous" is added to a word to change it from a name of a thing to a description of a thing.
This is a category that usually comes up early and often in reading. Learn it well - it's very useful!
