Devonshire rather nicely has a 4-way stop across Prospect Avenue. Not so at Mattis, so you might want to turn right on Lakeside and go North to Broadmoor, which goes directly across.

Otherwise you can do what I did, which was turn right on Mattis (North), and then use your good commuting skills to signal and ease into that left lane and turn onto Cypress or one of the next roads, all of which will let you turn South and get to Broadmoor, which will take you to Crescent, which in turn has a very nice 4-way stop sign to get across Kirby.

Then it's Left at the 4-way at Sangamon, and a right turn at Kenwood, past John, keeping an eye out for the next path: O'Malley's Alley. (Funny thing, I don't like taking pictures in the middle of traffic ;))

Note the usual circle to whip around... how bicycle friendly... but it's better access than the picture below a little further down the path ;)
