Note: you may need to directly teach the students the meaning of "example" and "specific." The student could say that tornadoes, blizzards, and hail are "weather events" -- or they could be more specific and say "dangerous weather events."


What's the Big Idea? Exercise 4

Directions:Write the common subject for each group of words (or "write a good title for each list"). Then add another example that could be included in that group. Be as specific as you can.
