Irony Example

... when someone is prone to very long emails that spend paragraphs explaining how what she is *going* to say is very important and uses novel phrases and coins inventive terms, but then proceeds to suggest that if there's a communication problem in the discussion it's the "telegram effect" and then spends many paragraphs explaining that this means that...

... the messages are too short for people to understand.

Back at work from cycling vacation, where classes have kicked in for the summer so many people are down here. No "Math faculty tutoring," so those who come down are stuck with me ;)
