In the Aha! (d'uh...) category: Yes, indeed, practicing the stuff you're going to read for the voice recognition helps. Like, a lot ;)

First student training now. Step one of the "nifty fifty nine." I rather like the book. http://www.speakingsolutions.com/ is the company that makes it.

There's the obvious: you get to look at the words. However, it also became really obvious to me that since the student had reviewed it, she had also comprehended it, which makes it a *whole* lot easier to read again.

I think this is going to be a good thign for thsi student.
