Where I post assorted thoughts and links relating to learning, specifically learning difficulties, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, "dyscalculia" and all the other reasons people struggle with numbers and math and arithmetic, reading, Orton-Gillingham stuff and ... whatever!

Just another happy dance

... our students in the "modular" curriculum are required to do homework for an hour in the lab.
So, a student was in the lab yesterday, doing said homework. I commented that she seemed to be grasping it better than the previous week.
She informed me that, since she wasn't allowed to do *homework* at home, she would go through the book and copy the processes on to cards at home to study them.
I suppose I could have corrected her interpretation of what's "allowed," but I preferred commending her on finding an effective way to thoroughly learn the material :)
