Where I post assorted thoughts and links relating to learning, specifically learning difficulties, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, "dyscalculia" and all the other reasons people struggle with numbers and math and arithmetic, reading, Orton-Gillingham stuff and ... whatever!

I'm in love with the Reading Genie :)

http://www.auburn.edu/academic/education/reading_genie/

I've been following this site since forever (since it moved its address at least once).

"Letterbox lessons" (a.k.a. Elkonin boxes in reading research) are a great way to build reading skills from the right foundations. (They're the building block of aggressively promoted reading programs that imply they have The Secret - in my humble opinion, there's no The Secret, of course...)

.... oh, coming back to edit to add that there are lessons and articles that seem to be scanned into digitalia (Xious's madeup word of the day) ... and haven't been "cleaned." Isn't there a graduate assistant who could do that?
