Where I post assorted thoughts and links relating to learning, specifically learning difficulties, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, "dyscalculia" and all the other reasons people struggle with numbers and math and arithmetic, reading, Orton-Gillingham stuff and ... whatever!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/quiz/2009/feb/09/spelling-society-quiz-test

I only got 17 of 20 on this... and when I looked at the answers, I realized that "harass" and "ecstasy" I'd have written correctly tho' I'd clicked the wrong one (I also just cruised through and went with the first impression, except for the half dozen or so of the words that are Officially Tricky Words that I memorized little tricks to knowing). (The third one I clicked the wrong dot.) So, I'm better writing than correcting, and I think that it is simply because I've seen 'em spelled wrong in formal situations so many times that wrongness no longer sets of the alarm bells.

Word Nerds unite :)
