Phone calls you just don't every want to get... the fellow who even though he's moved on from here, still drops in at least once a week or calls... only this time his voice sounds ragged enough so that when he says "Hi, how are you?" I say "probably better than you!" and he says "how did you know?" becaue yea, he's calling from hospital. Recovery will take time and effort. HE's familiar with that. Prayers help, too.
