Where I post assorted thoughts and links relating to learning, specifically learning difficulties, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, "dyscalculia" and all the other reasons people struggle with numbers and math and arithmetic, reading, Orton-Gillingham stuff and ... whatever!

This is a blog, so I am allowed to Say This About That.
Observation 1: I LOVE DATABASES!!!!!!!
I can sit at my little computer in my little office and click click click... I can find "Achieving Meaningful Mathematics LIteracy for Students With LEarning Disabilities."
Observation 2: I'm a geek :-)

Oh, something useful?

Scientific Notation Links

Beyond Basics
- better than average explanation using flash. There is at least one cut-and-paste error in it, though.

Regents Prep - one of several clear, good “how to crunch this" pages.

Fordham Prep
- a good, brief explanation of scientific notations and the rules for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing numbers written in scientific notation. It’s not interactive and refers to worksheets that aren’t available online (I don’t think).
