Where I post assorted thoughts and links relating to learning, specifically learning difficulties, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, "dyscalculia" and all the other reasons people struggle with numbers and math and arithmetic, reading, Orton-Gillingham stuff and ... whatever!

I have been told, and I've just confirmed, that you *can* get ModuMath in a "home" version, for about $200.00.
This is what we have here (the institutional version and a lot more expensive ;)) and it's the best math software I've tried out, and I've tried out a lot - though less in the past year or so. It's for older students and adults and it has actual *instruction* with visuals (not just somebody drawing out problems with symbols - concrete examples of the math concepts).
www.modumath.org (yea, they're even non-profit)
