Get that background knowledge, folks... otherwise it's a little hard to do those infamous "two trains are going in opposite directions... one leaves at 6:45..." - you have to know those fractions of an hour to begin to do the algebra stuff.

Once again, also, I'm finding intelligent, able students who have gotten this far and not gone through the cognitive process of figuring out that when you know the whole thing and a part, you subtract to find the missing part. Seems subtraction is just "take away."

I am going to learn enough Flash to put *that* bad boy together. I think I can. I think I can ;-) Hey, spring break's a-comin!
